What:    In addition to the raising of the flag:

Reading of the Juneteenth Flag Resolution.
Student and Adult speakers from the African American community.
Musical Performance.
Educational resources from local groups.

The Town of Bridgewater denounces any form of racism, discrimination or intolerance as a threat to the safety and well-being of the public and has designated June 19 as a Town holiday.

Khakatay
The Bridgewater State University Drumming Ensemble

Members BSU of Khakatay Drumming Ensemble, plus two children, performing onstage.

Khakatay (pronounced Hahk-ah-tie) has been with Bridgewater's Juneteenth since the get-go. Their indescribable energy is always a crowd pleaser.

Khakatay performs traditional repertoire from the West African countries of Guinea, Senegal, Mali, and the Ivory Coast
